About Me

 

Hello everyone!

    I am Reyhan, an old but new student  in  Marmara University  , Department  of   ELT.  I am saying  "old" ,  you  know , it has  two  meanings.The  first  one is because I am 54 and really  old for  a  student.The second one  is because   I  started   this department 32 years ago. Due to my pregnancy I had to leave it during the fifth semester.And I  am  saying  "new", because last  year  I  started  to  study  again  thanks  to amnesty.İ  hope  İ'm  going  to  complete  it  this  time. It  was  my  dream  and  now it's  coming true😀
    
     I am very happy and lucky  to  be  here.Happy  because  my  dream  is  coming  true, lucky   because  despite  my  age  all  my  teachers  and  young  friends  are  so  friendly  and  welcoming  to  me.
   
     Before  starting  ELT  in  1992, I  finished  Turkish  Language  and  Literature  Teaching at  the  same  university. Now  I'm  retired. Therefore,  I don't  need  a diploma  -but I  will  get it  this  time  insallah 😊-  . I don't  need  a  job. I  am  here  just because  I  want  to  be  here. I  have  never  missed  any classes  so  far. The things I can  manage  here - presentations ,assingments , projects , my  exam  results  make  me extremely  glad.

    Everything  is  great  here...Improving  my  English and  learning  how  to  teach  it ,observing  young  generation  and  making  friends  with  them, comparing  old  and  new  days  in  terms  of  education  system,  the  ways  of  teaching ,  teachers'  attitudes  and  etc...  really  exciting.

     I  love  cats  and  playing  "Kelimelik" (an online  game like  Scrabble)
        
     And  the last  thing  I  want  to  say  about  me  is  my  motto:
        
       " Treat  everyone  how  you  want  to  be  treated"

 Happy  New Year  to every one! I  hope  everything  will  be  better  in 2025. Since  it  is  new  year  our  instructor  gave  us  one more  week  to  complete  our  task  as a New  Year's  gift😍.Actually  the  task  wasn't  as  hard  as  the  previous  one-Flipped  Classroom-,however, we  were  relieved   that  our  instructor  extended  the  time.  Hello  everyone, How  are  you? I  am  here  again  with  a  different  task. Flipped  Language  Classroom   😊which  simply  means  learning  the  subject  at  home, doing  the  homework in  the  class.
